The worlds largest NFT marketplace, OpenSea, has made major waves throughout Web3 today by announcing significant changes are instore for both users and creators on the platform. On February 17, the company announced, via a Twitter thread, that the 2.5 percent fee that is tacked on to every transaction on OpenSea will be dropped to 0 for a limited time. Similarly, following up controversial announcement made back in November, the marketplace will be moving to optional creator royalties.
